Open Doors 04:29
Open Doors My way is simple You’d agree I know the people Who can open doors for me Watch me from a distance See me climbing higher I take for granted Things you can only desire No need for ability A life already planned Elite expectations My wish is your command Watch me from a distance As I get to the top One way trajectory That will never… stop Nothing spoils my apatite Nothing blocks my view How could so much be possessed By such a few Watch me from a distance As I get to the top Doors keep opening They never …… stop Never have to worry In front from the start Born with a full set of silver spoons Born a class apart My life sparkles like a diamond My road is paved with gold I know the system I know the code … to open doors for me My way is simple You’d agree I know the people Who can open doors for me Watch me from a distance Safe in my part of town Always be on the ‘up and up’ As long as I keep you down

Parting Shot 03:38
Parting Shot And she said I’m not your solution And she said It’s not me you’re looking for She said There is no resolution Nothing I can say That’s not been said before She said There’s no ME in your future And she said I’m not the settling kind She said Do I have to paint you a picture Nothing you can do To make me change my mind And she said Got to find your own solution And she said It’s not me you’re looking for She said But I’ll make this contribution Can’t show you love But I’ll show you the door And she said I’ll find myself without you And she said I’m not the answer to your prayers Nothing left Nothing to hang on to You’re confusing me With someone who cares And she said I’m not your solution And she said It’s not me you’re looking for She said I can’t give you absolution Nothing else to say It’s all been said before And she said Some things are meant to last And she said but this isn’t one She said You have quickly become the past The clock is ticking – It’s Time that you were gone And she said I’m not your solution My face hurts Pretending that I care She said This is all an illusion You’re looking for something That isn’t really there And she said I’m not your solution And she said It’s not me you’re looking for Then she said Left me with this parting shot I know what I need And it’s nothing that you’ve got

Prairie Sunset It’s cold on the mountains It’s cold on the plain Desert wind’s howling Tears apart everything I set up the camp fire It starts to rain Old cowboy Out alone on the range Prairie Sunset Midnight blue - moonlit sky A wide open range Gives me peace by and by Prairie Sunset Prairie sunrise Freedom from fences Freedom to ride You can’t tame a free man In a barbed wire cage Lonely are the brave In this golden age Prairie sunrise Prairie Sunset Things may be changing But never forget There’s comfort in this skyline And the earth red brown Lay my head on my saddle On this stony ground It’s all I can wish for All I can pray A Prairie Sunset At the end of the day It’s cold on the mountains It’s cold on the plain I am a man who has travelled To there and back again Maybe my time’s now passed over But I’m not finish yet Riding into That Prairie Sunset

Our Days Are Done I’ve seen the future I’ve seen what’s to come Our planet is a wasteland Our days are done Grains of plastic on our beaches Replace grains of sand Earths so saturated With more than it can with stand I’ve seen the future It’s not like the past The way things are going We’re not going to last Our days are done Our days are done Cleaning up this mess we made We’ve only just begun I’ve seen the future We all know how it’s going to end Worldwide destruction Wringing of hands won’t mend Gestures that are but a token No political will When the lights go out They’ll be talking still Toxic city smog Blocks out the sun We breathe in the poisons Our days are done Heavy metal contamination Deforestation Reef destruction acceleration Rainforest desiccation I’ve seen the future It’s not like the past The way things are going We’re not going to last Global pollution World leaders talk in tongues Synthetic fibres in the food chain Fish - micro particles in their lungs Over-population All consuming urban sprawl Enforced migration Will destroy us all Pervasive materialism Crave things we don’t need Buy more and more To satisfy consumer greed International corporations They know the score Throw away technology What’s it all for? I’ve seen the future Looked back at what we’ve done Was it all worth it? Our days are done I’ve seen the future Dark days to come Too little too late Our days are done

Historical Figures Historical figures footprints in the past Years to remember - labels that last Historical figures dates we can all recall Historical figures empires rise and fall 1492 Columbus sailed with his crew Ventured where no one would dare Claimed a continent and all its value Discovered people who were already there Historical figures dates written on a time line Numerical landmarks events define 1519 Cortes had a scheme Wealth for himself and his nation Won fame and fortune but did it really have to mean To destroy a civilisation? Historical figures like waves upon the shore Historical figures it’s happened all before 1832 the great issue Parliamentary reform was overdue Today, you could say, it still remains the same Power is in the hands of the privileged few Historical figures scar and shape our identity The Boyne, Culloden , Kosovo and Wounded Knee Dates keep the memory alive Refuse to forget to survive Hang on to those defeats at all costs Be defined by what you’ve lost they’ve Historical figures success or disaster To be remembered forever and ever after Historical figures no need to be accurate History will always belong to those who write it

My Latest Crime You point the finger And everything I say or do is wrong Suspicions linger But I think I knew it all along No one else in history Could be as guilty as me Just a face that fits My latest crime It’s a mystery ……. Which law I broke this time Evidence slippery But still I’m the one that’s doing time Let’s just agree It must have been me Confession to My latest crime Nobody can be As guilty as me Left the scene Of my latest crime I admit I think we’re living in a dangerous time Can’t help commit When even thinking has become a crime Turning it over in your mind Searching to find A punishment to fit My latest crime Nobody can be As guilty as me Just an innocent victim Of my latest crime Blameless …… or an accessory? Willing accomplice Imprisoned in your sweet custody Tried and tried To detect your lies That’s just another of My latest crimes Somewhere else at the time But it’s easy to find The guilt that sits With my latest crime Gather up your witnesses Record each and every felony Recall all the instances Discount my testimony The culprit’s still at large But I must be guilty as charged When did I commit My latest crime? Nobody can be As guilty as me An innocent victim Of my latest crime

The Last Time With You If I had one last chance to do Anything that I could choose If I had just one more thing to pursue I’d choose the last time with you Time may have passed by Life has pushed through But everything still seems brand new Everything must have a last time And I’d choose the last time with you Climb up the every hill to enjoy the view Swim in a sea darkest blue If I could do that just one more time I’d choose the last time with you If I had just one more time to have déjà vu I would choose all the time that I spent with you Explored places that I never knew Did all those things too good to be true If I could do them just one more time I’d choose the last time with you If this was the last dance And I could have any partner to choose If this was the last dance I’d choose the last time with you I’d choose the last time with you Now waltz ….
