Face To Face 04:06
Face To Face Constant fear takes you home To a place alone When all is gone we disappear Only shadows left here Face to face when we look away When were face to face We will follow but never lead In these words we bleed They will scar when we feel Deepest wounds that won’t heal Face to face when we look away When were face to face Face To Face (When you look away) Face To Face (When you look away) Face To Face (When you look away) (Face To Face) (Face To Face) Look away (Face To Face)

Face Down 04:20
FACE DOWN Fallen angels In the sky tonight Burning children Will see no more light God's not here any more The bodies all facedown Lie across the floor The bodies all facedown Lines of red Lead us to here A cursed unsaid in the cindered air God's not here any more The bodies all facedown Lie across the floor The bodies all facedown All fall into A fate like many others Lie still with you Bow down to your sisters and brothers God's not here any more The bodies all facedown Lie across the floor The bodies all facedown God's not here any more The bodies all facedown Lie across the floor The bodies all facedown God's not here any more The bodies all facedown Lie across the floor The bodies all facedown God's not here any more The bodies all facedown Lie across the floor The bodies all facedown

Green Eyed King Once there was a little prince, who was destined to rule this land A boy fulfilled with decadence, all given to his hand But he began to hunger for what was already had claimed So this green eyes prince made plans to put his people in chains In this golden prison he sits there The king of nothing at all The prince became a bitter king, who envied all what he saw Hatred grew for other kings, as they were adored By the sun the moon the stars everyone would say So this green eyed king made plans to bring down the day In this golden prison he sits there The king of nothing at all The king became a tyrant, when he claimed to own the sky Now desiring everything, of that he could not buy To him the world was nothing if he couldn’t have it all But his green eyed plan were ended when on a sword he did fall The king of nothing at all Now here lies a fallen king, in a castle made of gold Killed by his avarice, of which he could not control His killers will all became kings from a green eyed man So to those who stole his riches the circle begins again

No Saving Me 03:05
NO SAVING ME In this sea I now lie alone, still waiting here Slowly sinking, falling-down, still waiting here When The light disappears, the darkness brings my fears There’s no saving me You tied me up in your confusion and throw me overboard As despair my lungs All the dreams of my own making My will is strong and not for breaking Waves come crashing down my head as I start to drown There’s no saving me saving me saving me Deathly silence awaits once more as I touch the floor There’s no saving me As I now drift away and vanish from your life There’s no saving All These Things I should be saying but my end will keep you waiting don’t know what your anticipating now

Keep Drinking When the sky turns red A step closer to an answer I’ll keep drinking, keep drinking Gods wrath above my head Don’t save me just save you Everybody’s praying to god, When our time is up on this old crazy rock I’ll keep drinking, keep drinking Revelations from my chair Don’t save me just save you (awe yeah) Everybody thinks of the past But it won’t ever last, but it’s nice place to stay I’ll keep drinking, keep drinking As the earth swallows us all Don’t save me just save you (all right) Now the end times have arrived And its time for us to testify just I’ll keep drinking, keep drinking Welcome it with your head held high Don’t save me just save you In the end no one is saved, You’ve got be brave when he come for you I’ll keep drinking, keep drinking Live your life till the end of days Don’t save me just save you (yeah)

Slaves To The Past Crumbled stones, disrepair Broken homes, full of fear Time is our greatest killer, we won’t last All for one and none together We are, were slaves to the past To the past, slaves to the past We are, were slaves to the past To the past, slaves to the past We are, slaves to the past We’re from broken homes, all those broken stones They don’t know how to fix us Nowhere to go from here, always to live in fear They don’t know how to fix us Nowhere to run away Nowhere to find a better day And time is our greatest killer, we won’t last We’re slaves to the past yeah We’re slaves to the past ‘Cause where slaves To the past, yes were slaves We are, were slaves to the past To the past, slaves to the past We are, we are slaves to the past

The Road Back Home A lifetime working for the gas and oil Whilst sinking deeper to that blackened sore All your time chasing that fools gold Has gave you nothing but a lonely road But those roads, those roads can bring you back You’ll be running running running running running back home tonight Its a hard step to take when the path is so dry But you got to believe that the time is right You’re so far away and you been gone too long But you got to get back to where you once belong But those roads, those roads can bring you back You’ll be running running running running running back home tonight Watching your life slow down yeah But when your face yourself and take the final step You’re on the road back home Yeah Yeah Yeah on the road back home But those roads, those roads can bring you back You’ll be running running running running running back home tonight (Running back home tonight) Yeah running back home tonight (Running back home tonight) Yeah running back home tonight (Running back home tonight) Yeah running back home tonight (Running back home tonight) Running back home running back home running back home running back home tonight

about

Face to Face are a multi genre, originals band from Lincolnshire, UK.

After a random Facebook meeting in mid-April 2018, a fruitful collaboration was born between David de Silva and Mel O.

Both David and Mel come from very different musical backgrounds, making this collision of styles a very creative and exciting experience.

For years Mel has played many instruments in bands with a variety of styles including: Folk Rock, Trad. Jazz, Comedy Show Bands, Punk, an Elvis Tribute, Ceilidh Dance Bands and more.

David is an award-winning singer-songwriter who has performed with many famous bands and acts in the music industry for many years.

The bands writing process usually begins with Mel recording one of his many acoustic guitars to produce some very interesting and diverse instrumental pieces. Mel then sends the piece via email to David who then writes the lyrics, records his vocal tracks and finally produces the final song in his studio.

With the overall process usually only taking a few days, writing new songs has been a very fast turnover. Both agree it’s a very exciting way to work as they never know what to expect from each other.

“Equal Opportunists” the band’s first album is a distinct entity to itself, with each of its tracks blending perplexities of subject matters including dealing with Addiction, Abuse, Breakdowns, Fables, Loss, War and Our Own Vices.
